These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scholarly pre-submission manuscript audit service operated by Kinvectum ("we", "us", or "our"). By submitting a manuscript audit request, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are submitting on behalf of an institution or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Scholarly provides AI-assisted pre-submission manuscript audit reports for clinical and academic researchers. The Service analyses manuscript abstracts, methods summaries, and statistical findings to simulate a senior peer reviewer's critique, identify methodological weaknesses, assess rejection risk, and provide a structured revision roadmap.
The Service is an advisory tool only. It does not constitute peer review, editorial assessment, or a guarantee of acceptance at any journal. The output of the Service represents the analysis of an AI system and should be used as one input among many in your manuscript preparation process.
The Service is intended for use by researchers, academics, clinicians, and healthcare professionals aged 18 or over. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
You retain full ownership of all manuscript content, data, and materials you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to process Your Content solely for the purpose of generating your audit report.
You represent and warrant that:
We do not claim any ownership over Your Content. The audit report generated by the Service is provided to you for your personal and professional use. You may share, publish, or distribute the audit report as you see fit.
You agree not to use the Service to:
The Service is offered at the fees displayed on the pricing page at the time of submission. All prices are listed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is required before the audit is processed.
We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect submissions already paid for and in progress.
Refund policy: Due to the nature of the Service (AI processing begins immediately upon payment), refunds are not available once an audit has been initiated. If you experience a technical failure that prevents delivery of your report, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a credit.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
The audit report is an AI-generated advisory document. It should be reviewed critically and used in conjunction with your own expertise, supervisor feedback, and the guidance of qualified statisticians and methodologists where appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kinvectum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: loss of research funding, journal rejection, reputational harm, or any other professional or financial loss.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific audit submission giving rise to the claim.
We treat all submitted manuscript content as strictly confidential. We will not disclose, share, or publish your manuscript content to any third party except as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
All submitted files and manuscript content are deleted within 48 hours of audit delivery. Audit reports are retained for 7 days to allow re-download, then permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
For Comprehensive tier clients requiring a formal NDA prior to submission, please contact us at [email protected] before submitting.
The Scholarly service, including its website, audit engine, prompt architecture, report templates, and all associated software, is the intellectual property of Kinvectum. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, brand names, or proprietary technology.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a manner that could harm us, other users, or third parties. In the event of termination due to our error, we will provide a full refund for any undelivered audits.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which Kinvectum is registered. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your submission at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
